The solution to inherited charge points
AS LEASEHOLD AND EV SPECIALISTS, WE UNDERSTAND THE ISSUES YOU FACE
Developers are obligated to furnish car parks with EV chargers- great news for eco-centric residents and our precious planet. However, developers are under no obligation to arrange for ongoing safety checks or to provide any information of the EV infrastructure to the incoming property manager.
Consequently, numerous property managers find themselves unsure and in the dark, dealing with un-commissioned and neglected chargers. These unmaintained chargers could potentially lead to escalated electricity bills for the block without any clear sense of accountability and risk to the residents and visitors.
As multi-manufacturer-approved specialists, we offer help to all parties involved.
PROPERTY MANAGERS AND DEVELOPERS ALIKE
For property managers who have already inherited a block, we can determine which chargers you’re working with, make sure they’re installed correctly and put individual billing procedures in place. We can then maintain your chargers and be on hand for any emergencies- problem solved.
For developers, we can assist you during the handover process to ensure the safety and financial wellbeing of future residents. You can rest easy knowing that the chargers will be safe to use, and that maintenance and billing will be taken care of.

How The Process Works
An intrusive site survey that includes:
• Detailed surveying and quantifying
• Load testing and spare capacity analysis
• Electrical distribution reporting
• Feasibility study
• Site access or pre-contact planning exercise
We’ll then provide you with:
• A detailed design with planning and drawings
• A full scope of works with an itemised and quantified estimate
• A storyboard of delivery to meet the blocks demand requirements
These documents can be shared with third parties to provide a comparison estimate, meeting requirements of the block lease and Section-20 legislation. We then hope to be awarded the scheme and will reimburse any stage two associated costs from the final system delivery sum.
THE PROBLEM WE’RE SOLVING
As go-to specialists for developers and property managers across the southeast, we continue to identify risk.
Forward-thinking developers and property managers alike need a third party to bridge this gap- that’s us.
HOW WE’RE SOLVING IT
We can either lend a hand to developers before they hand over to management, or we can come in once the site has been taken over and support property managers from there on out.
With EV Connect, you can be assured of 24/7 support, scheduled servicing, and reactive repairs. We never subcontract and are knowledge-leaders in the leasehold and EV charging arenas.
If we can’t get the info we need remotely, we’ll carry out an intrusive on-site survey.
Once we know what you’re working with, we’ll let you know and give you a plan.
Once you’re happy with our proposals, we’ll get you ready to take the first steps.
Priority number one is safety- for you and your residents. One of our in-house engineers will visit to carry out a full safety check.
We work with several platforms (including our own Future Tap) to provide the most suitable billing solution for your block.
Once your chargers are approved and commissioned for use, our PPM agreement will keep things ticking over.
We will continue to be on hand for call outs in the event of breakdowns or technical issues.
In the unlikely event of an emergency issue with your charge points, give us a call and we’ll be there.
Your residents can speak directly to your billing platform provider, so take that off your list!
