Future Fuel successfully secured £13,500 OZEV funding on behalf of our client, to go towards the EV charge point installation fees.
Kingsway Court is a seafront purpose-built block directly on Hove Seafront, right in the centre of Hove. It is within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, coffee and retail shops and Hove station is a few blocks away.
This site was particularly unique as it was one of the first projects Future Fuel were awarded just seven days after the delayed funding finally went live.
This funding will cover the lion’s share of costs; getting the facility ready for the immediate demand whilst also future-proofing further bays for rapid activation.
As OZEV-approved installers, we are happy to secure the funding on our client’s behalf as well as handle the installation from start to finish- to our exacting standards. The property managers at Northland Securities LTD have made use of this end-to-end service.
The Future Fuel Solution
- Future Fuel installed a full passive infrastructure, including 10 active chargers, to help residents transition to EV without any pain points.
- Partnering with Easee Charging & Monta Billing portal, Future Group provided a smart charging system in keeping with the new EV charge point regulations.
But, why new regulations?
These new regulations ensure charge points have smart functionality, allowing the charging of an electric vehicle when there is less demand on the grid, or when more renewable electricity is available.
Future Fuel has always advocated for smart charging, seeing the benefits for residents charging their vehicles in their demised bays.
With any EV Charge point installation, the main issue is moving cars from their demised spaces in order to install each point efficiently.
In total, the project saw a rapid turnaround where 10 passive chargers and 10 active chargers were installed alongside the cabling infrastructure in only 6 days.
Kingsway Court is now 100% in keeping with the new regulations… every active charger enables a smart billing system allowing the residents of Kingsway to charge their vehicles at more convenient times and decrease their overall electricity waste and therefore cost.
The residents, as well as our client, now have total peace of mind knowing their infrastructure is successfully funded and their charge points are regulated.
