Energy-efficient lighting is at the forefront of Future Lighting’s installations and maintenance, they strive to effectively prepare every client and futureproof every site. In 2022, Future Lighting has been carrying out a complete Lighting Upgrade at Parkview Estates in Woking. The upgrade included External Lighting, Internal Lighting, a new Emergency Lighting System & NICEIC remedial and improvement works. The project took approximately 7 weeks to complete, and the engineers faced bitterly cold months unfazed and kept to the essential and tight programme given to them by the instructing client.
The client wanted to improve the estate lighting levels throughout the development while also transitioning to LED technology. This transition is crucial for all property managers as it saves money and energy that old fluorescent bulkheads used to waste. Additionally, the use of LEDs reduces maintenance and consumption; it is an efficient lighting system incorporating a new fully functioning emergency lighting system, compliant to current standards. By reducing energy consumption by up to 90% they are reducing electricity bills, carbon emissions & eliminating the re-lamp process including waste management.
Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) were finally issued on completion as verification of compliance and safety for continued service with a recommended re-test date of 5-Years. The clients are satisfied and now feel a sense of relief knowing they are in good hands for at least 5 years.
On top of the suggested re-test date, Future Lighting also offers annual, bi-annual, and monthly service and maintenance visits to ensure that the emergency lighting system is inspected and maintained. This Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) agreement ensures that the lighting at this site provides adequate levels of illumination for a safe means of escape for the required duration in the event of an emergency.
The installation at Parkview Estates was a huge success with both client, surveying team and residents thrilled with the outcome and level of service they experienced. The feedback was nothing but positive, complimenting the engineers’ politeness, tidiness, workmanship, and skillset. This feedback is a clear example of Future Lighting’s commitment to the work being carried out; their attention to detail is second to none.
Future Lighting was founded in 2014 and continues to show unshakable passion and first-class industry knowledge, advising property managers about the importance of LED technology saving them money, energy, and hassle.
