Future Lighting & Electrical Secures Street-Lighting Upgrade at Mill Quay, London E14

Future Group is delighted to announce it has been awarded the street-lighting overhaul and upgrade at the Mill Quay development in London E14, working closely with Kathryn Henderson, Property Manager at Warwick Estates, and lighting manufacturer DW Windsor. This project has been carefully planned over the past year, culminating in a strategic approach to secure final board approval.

Our team engaged closely with residents, holding out-of-hours meetings to assess the current condition of the outdated street-lighting and understand client and resident expectations. Evening Zoom sessions allowed for further discussion of proposals, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality solution while managing client budgets.

A trial light installation using high-powered access equipment provided real-time feedback from residents, while the adjustable output option on the proposed high-spec LED streetlight heads was fine-tuned to deliver the correct level of lighting for the intended purpose, with careful consideration of light pollution.

Reflecting on the project, Kathryn Henderson, Property Manager at Warwick Estates, said:

“Working with Jordan has been great. He often went out of his way, even outside normal hours, to answer the many questions this project raised. His dedication and commitment made it possible, and I am looking forward to seeing this project come to life at last!”

DW Windsor added:

“DW Windsor were delighted to work with Future Group on this project. After listening to the client’s requirements and concerns around the existing lighting, we developed a solution using our Kirium Pro S luminaire. Lighting calculations were carried out to ensure compliant lighting levels would be achieved, and any light spill kept to a minimum by using the most suitable LED optic. We look forward to seeing the result of this project and to residents enjoying higher-quality lighting in their area.”

This project highlights the importance of collaboration, technical expertise, and long-term value in modern street-lighting design. It stands as an example of what can be achieved when innovation and partnership come together to deliver safer, smarter, and more sustainable community environments.
