Giving back is great!
Hosting, running, climbing or biking; Future Group likes to do what they can to help support local charities and we’ll continue to support Teens Unite through the coming year. So, if you have any ideas or challenges the Group can get on board with, let us know.
On the 2nd of April 2022, Jordan Begg and Jason Begley successfully completed the Tough Mudder challenge as representatives of Future Group- an incredible event and an incredible achievement!
Their JustGiving page originally aimed for a £1,500 target but that was quickly surpassed and they were able to raise £2,130 for Teens Unite before they even had a chance to tie their laces.
The support they have received both online and in person is beyond moving and it was very apparent that that support really helped Jordan and Jason to get through their training.
Nine days, a 6,000-meter climb, five climatic zones and the physiological changes that the body experiences above 2,500 meters. That’s what is facing Jamie as he climbs Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Teens Unite.
Teens Unite were on Loughton High Street as part of their awareness-raising campaign and Jamie stopped to talk to one of the volunteers. Knowing a little about what they do and knowing that they were local to Future Group’s headquarters, he decided to sign up for the climb. Now, knowing more about their work and feeling a real affinity for what they do, Jamie has roped in the whole Future Group team!
Another charity challenge which was a great (if tiring) event was the London to Brighton bike ride for the excellent charity Bike4Cancer. After 54 miles our legs were burning (nearly had to call Future Fire…) but in the end, it was absolutely worth it.
If you like what Teens Unite are doing (and why wouldn’t you?) then please head over to their website to find out more about what they do and how you could help them too.
