Project Overview
After thorough planning and collaboration with the management company, it was determined that the ideal location for the EV charging solution would be along the estate’s entry road, utilising the visitors’ parking bays. These charging points are designed for residents to use on a “charge and move” basis, ensuring efficient use of the spaces.
An in-depth energy analysis revealed an adequate electrical supply within the site, which was integrated into the new charging solution. To prevent overloads and ensure smooth operation, we incorporated smart load-balancing technology, allowing the available electrical supply to be distributed evenly across all active charging outlets.
Given the open nature of the site, careful planning was required to carry out civil works without affecting the estate’s aesthetics or landscaping. The charging stations were installed on custom-built stainless-steel posts that complement the surrounding estate furniture. Additionally, the chargers were customised with grey casements to blend seamlessly with the environment.
The system is now fully operational and integrated with the Future-Tap billing platform, providing residents with a simple and efficient way to access and utilise the charging stations.
