Amazing effort from the entire team successfully installing our first Taurus Hyfire
Our client requested a complete fire alarm upgrade to their building with minimal cabling and disruption.
Having been accredited partners with Hyfire for four years, we decided that Taurus was the way to go to fulfil our client’s requirements.
The project included the installation of wireless heat sounders in each dwelling and wireless smoke detectors throughout the communal areas and escape routes. We decided to use the latest intelligent equipment from Hyfire and this was our first installation using the newly launched Taurus system.
Future Fire solution:
Our engineers completed specific technical training pre-installation, and we worked closely with the Hyfire team on this project.
We successfully installed 95 devices at this site, with minimal cabling as instructed.
Challenges:
Upon completion, it was later identified that a second stairwell was to be covered by the means of further smoke detection.
The client subsequently saved costs on labour due to the lack of cabling required.
The minimal cabling allowed for a more aesthetically pleasing installation which also mitigated the need for fire stopping works.
