Future Fuel: Crown Court

Introduction:

Nestled moments away from the iconic Regent’s Park and Lord’s Cricket Ground, Crown Court enjoys a prime location with breathtaking views of the Regent’s Park mosque. Positioned conveniently near Baker Street station and the upscale St John’s Wood neighbourhood, Crown Court is a distinguished residential complex in a highly sought-after area.

Challenge:

In the face of a global shift towards sustainable living, the modernisation of residential infrastructure has become a critical concern. Crown Court identified the need to adapt to the evolving transportation landscape, specifically the increasing demand for electric vehicles (EVs). The challenge at hand was to seamlessly integrate EV charging infrastructure into the existing private demised parking bays for Crown Court residents.

Solution:

Crown Court demonstrated a proactive commitment to meeting the changing needs of its residents. A comprehensive solution was devised, involving a full passive retrofit installation across all 23 private demised parking bays. Each bay was equipped with a smart-connected Easee-Ready™ back-plate, establishing the foundation for residents to effortlessly transition to EV motoring.

Implementation:

Executing the retrofit installation efficiently over a brief period of 8 days, Crown Court minimised disruption to its residents. The process was characterised by a lack of fuss or concern, showcasing the seamless integration of this new technology into the existing infrastructure. Crown Court partnered with Future Fuel for the installation, seeking expertise in navigating the complexities of the project and ensuring optimal utilisation of the OZEV (Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) funding.

Results:

Today, the results of Crown Court’s forward-thinking initiative are tangible. Three proactive residents have embraced the transition, opting for active charging points, with charging robots successfully installed, connected, and actively in use. This not only highlights Crown Court’s responsiveness to the evolving needs of its residents but also underscores the success of the implemented solution in promoting sustainable living within the community.

Benefits:

  • Convenience: Residents now enjoy the convenience of EV charging infrastructure within their private demised parking bays.
  • Sustainability: The implementation aligns with global efforts towards sustainability by encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles.
  • Technological Integration: The smart-connected Easee-Ready™ back-plate ensures a smooth transition to EV motoring without complications.
