Block Security & CCTV

Project Overview 

The site has two blocks connected by first floor walkway connecting them. Entry for visitors is by a ground floor audio entry panel, this residential estate located roadside with open access grounds. The client required a comprehensive overhaul of the existing site security.  Requesting CCTV & improvements to the entry points across site.  

The Challenge 

The original block layout utilised single visitor entrance with aged audio intercom and key access to all other wooden doors. Separate low-rise garages accessible by open private drive from under croft. 

Key challenges included: 

  • Security in grounds: Installation of CCTV site wide with remote access for administration.  
  • Entrance Doors: replacing wooden doors & access control to move away from traditional keys.  
  • Visitor Entry: Easy to operate video intercom for residents. Existing wiring not suitable to be retained 

The Solution 

We designed and implemented replacement high security doors with designs to meet clients’ specifications completed with integrated access control and high security fire fighters release key. This system is all cloud managed and integrated with the new Video intercom which calls users smart phones when they can view speak and admit callers. 

  1. CCTV Specification: Designed and cabled a new IP CCTV security network across site which provided the backbone for the new IP CCTV. External CCTV cameras provide 24/7 high quality images. The NVR for system is located at client’s secure location with dedicated broadband for remote monitoring & administration.  
  1. Doors Specification: Bespoke designed high security doors installed in phased program. 
  1. Access Specification: 4G access set up and all fobs issued prior to commencement. This avoided any lock outs or compromised security throughout program 
  1. Video Entry Specification: All residents set up prior to works with free APP for receiving visitors calls upon installation. 

The Results 

The solution provided transformed the security , delivering immediate value to both the management company and the residents. 

  • CCTV: clear views of all aeras of site and remote management for image retrieval & monitoring. 
  • Security of site: High security doors & access control provides residents peace of mind.
