Director of Operations

This is not a standard Operations Director role.

Future Group is seeking a senior, commercially minded Director of Operations to take ownership of operational performance across all divisions of the group.

This role is central to the future growth of the business. You will work closely with the Group MD, Board, and senior leadership team to align people, processes, and performance — ensuring our clients continue to receive first-class service as the group scales.

Requirements

  • Senior operational leadership experience within a multi-discipline or service-led business
  • Strong commercial awareness and decision-making ability
  • Experience managing multiple teams or departments
  • A structured, analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Confidence operating at board and senior leadership level
  • The ability to challenge, improve, and implement change effectively
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A calm, decisive leadership style with high standards

Facilities management, engineering, construction, or technical services experience is beneficial but not essential for the right individual.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations across all Future Group divisions
  • Ensuring operational consistency, efficiency, and service quality
  • Driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and workflows
  • Supporting divisional leaders to deliver against KPIs and commercial targets
  • Implementing operational frameworks that support growth and scalability
  • Monitoring performance metrics and reporting at board level
  • Identifying risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting strategic planning and execution across the group
  • Ensuring compliance with internal standards, health & safety, and best practice
