Future Group has welcomed Jessica Gay as Client Relationship Manager, expanding its sales and client relationships team as the business continues to grow its support for managing agents, block managers and estate managers.
Jess brings extensive experience across sales, account management and business development, with a background spanning facilities management, building services, construction and property.
She will work alongside Kate Wood, Head of Sales & New Business, with a particular focus on strengthening relationships with existing clients as well as developing new partnerships across the property management sector.
The role will see Jess spending time directly with clients and their teams, from regular meetings and site visits to portfolio reviews and Lunch & Learn sessions.
Getting closer to our clients
For Future Group, the appointment forms part of a wider focus on making sure the client relationship develops alongside the technical services the business provides.
As portfolios grow and residential developments become more complex, understanding the individual site, its history and the priorities of the property manager can be just as important as delivering the works themselves.
Jess said:
“What I’ve always enjoyed most about working in sales and account management is building relationships. I like getting to know clients properly, understanding the challenges they’re dealing with and finding ways we can genuinely help.
“I’m looking forward to getting out and meeting Future Group’s clients, visiting their developments and getting to know their portfolios. There’s a huge amount of knowledge across the different teams here, so a big part of my role will be making sure our clients can make the most of that.”
Experience that complements a changing sector
Jess’s previous experience includes commercial facilities management, something Kate believes will be particularly valuable as the lines between traditional block management and wider facilities management continue to overlap.
Kate said:
“It’s great to welcome someone with Jess’s breadth of experience to the team. Her background in commercial FM complements our client base really well and gives us another perspective on how we support our clients.
“The developments our block and estate managers look after are becoming more complicated. We’re working across larger estates, mixed-use developments and buildings with commercial elements, where managers can be responsible for an increasingly broad range of systems and compliance requirements.
“Jess understands that environment, which will be really useful for our clients. She’ll be working alongside me to strengthen the relationships we already have, getting out on site, meeting property management teams and helping us understand where we can offer more support.
“We don’t want the relationship with our clients to begin and end when they need a quote. Whether it’s arranging a Lunch & Learn for a team, walking a site together or simply picking up the phone to talk something through, we want to be accessible and useful.”
Continuing to invest in client support
Future Group works with managing agents and property professionals across London, the M25 and Home Counties, providing planned, reactive and project support across Lighting & Electrical, Fire Systems, Security Solutions, EV, Regeneration, Decarbonisation and Smart Lockers.
The addition of Jess to the team will give clients another dedicated point of contact, while helping Future Group maintain a personal approach as its portfolio continues to grow.
Over the coming months, Jess will be meeting existing clients, visiting developments and working closely with Future Group’s operational and technical teams.
